Longstreet Headquarters: First Floor

Longstreet Museum by Dave Jones

Longstreet Museum, Russellville, Tennessee

The Longstreet Headquarters Museum is a home in East Tennessee that was used as the headquarters of General Longstreet during the Civil War.  The home was owned, at that time of the Civil War, by the Nenney family.  In 2006 the Lakeway Civil War Preservation Association bought and restored the property with the help of the Tennessee Civil War National Heritage Area.  As part of the restoration and museum development I was asked to help in the creation of the museum’s panels and Auto CAD drawings.  These drawings noted where the furniture, panels, and lighting should be placed.
